Introducing our new series on the paradox of generosity, pastor Luke framed the sermon series by looking at how empiracal social science research has conclusively demonstrated that Jesus' words in Luke 6:38 ("give, and you will receive") are facts!

Finishing up our series, "What is God like?", pastor Wes shared from 1 John 4's emphasis that God is love. Because God is love, he transforms us by the power of the Spirit. 

Unity of the Faith: Thoughts on My Participation in the Evangelical - Catholic Dialogue

For three days, pastor Luke spent time participating in the Evangelical-Catholic Dialogue at the Univeristy of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. In this sermon, Luke shares some thoughts on how the Vineyard can continue to both value and pursue Church unity with other denominations, while also maintaining a commitment to our theology, values, and distinctives. 

What is God like? (God is generous)

Looking to Psalm 23, pastors Dawn and Luke continued our series "What is God like?" and considered how God is generous. Despite the way culture causes us to often think we have earn God's favor, what we see in Scripture is that God is generous with his grace, mercy, and love.

Looking to Psalm 100, pastor Luke spoke on the goodness of God and how the psalmist places the foundation of God's goodness on his unfailing love and faithfulness.

Introducing our new sermon series, What is God like?, pastor Dawn shared how the events and narratives that shape us can sometimes cause us to have incorrect views about who God is.

Our final sermon in our Living in Community series looked at 2 Peter 1:1-8 and considered how Community is both safe and grace-filled while also being risky and dangerous!

In pastor Wes' first sermon, we learned a little bit about him and his background and then were challenged to be a community that is grounded in hope and love.

In Acts 6, the early church was confronted with the challenge of dealing with the needs of a growing church and meeting the needs of individuals. In this sermon, pastor Luke explained how this tension is normal for growing churches and that applying what we learn from Acts 6 means we can continue to grow as a church and also see the needs of individuals met.
