Continuing our series on vision for 2018, pastor Wes shared why goals are important and what goals we have for this coming year! 

Vision Map (Connecting)

In Ephesians 2:13, we read that God brings near those who are far off... and the reality is that God does this through his church. In this sermon, pastor Luke explored how people generally connect into a community through the various "links" in a chain. 

Vision Map (Developing)

Last week we talked about God asking us to dream big because our best days are ahead of us. In the second sermon in our series, Vision Map, we looked at the development of the church in Ephesus as a model for us. After all, we have to realize that there are practical things we can do that actually empower us to both dream big and reach those dreams! If we want to be a church that continues to carry out our mission of knowing Jesus and making him known, we must continue to develop! 

Vision Map (Growing)

In the mid 1800's, a group of people known as "The Donner Party" made their way from the east toward California. Ignoring the wisdom of maps and experienced travellers, the group attempted to take a short cut and travel during the winter, leading to tragedy. Without a good map, we're liable to experience many of the same challenges! In this sermon, pastor Luke shared vision for the future of the Vineyard in 2018 and where the leadership senses the Lord leading!

Advent Hope (Christmas Eve 2017)

Reading from the Gospel of Matthew, our evening Christmas Eve service explored how the birth of Jesus offers great hope to all people! Signaling "new beginnings," Jesus brought hope to everyone he came in contact with! 

Caroling through Christmas (Hark the Herald Angels Sing)

In our last sermon in our series Caroling through Christmas, we looked at "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and learned about why the shepherds in the Christmas story give us cause to celebrate peace! 

Caroling through Christmas (Upside Down Christmas)

Many aspects of the Christmas story seem kind of upside down. An unwed mother named Mary... God becoming a baby... so many things about the birth of Jesus seem upside down. But when you look at the story through the lens of the Kingdom, it all becomes beautiful and "right side up." In this sermon, pastor Luke looked at the contribution of some Asian Christmas hymns and then dived into why the women in the Christmas story have much to offer us toward understanding the nature of God's kingdom. 

Caroling through Christmas (Silent Night)

The story behind "Silent Night" includes an Austrian church without a pipe organ and the simple lyrics of a Catholic Priest. This beloved song point us to the Incarnation! In this sermon, pastor Luke Geraty looked at John 1:1-18 and then explored the aspects of the Incarnation that we should apply into our own lives and participation in God's mission. 

Caroling through Christmas (Joy to the World)

Have you ever wondered how the Christmas carols came to be? Who wrote them and why? In our new series, "Caroling through Christmas," we began our "Behind the Carol" look at "Joy to the World." Written by Isaac Watts and based on Psalm 96, 98, and Genesis 3, Isaac reminded us of the great reasons to have joy during the Advent season!
