In Ryker Autajay's first sermon at the Red Bluff Vineyard, he shared how he wrestled with the tension found between being "charismatic" and "contemplative," coming to understand that the paradox is that both are spaces for the Holy Spirit! Building on Paul's teaching in 1 Thessalonians 5, Ryker gave us four practical ways to keep this tension!

A tension that exists in many churches is between being inward focused and outward focused. It seems rather challenging to be both/and when it comes to leaning into the mission of God and taking care of ourselves and each other. Often times we do one over the other. In this sermon, pastor Luke discusses the importance of being both inward focused and taking soul care seriously while caring for other followers of Jesus and being concerned with outreach and sharing Jesus with the world around us.

As we continue to ask, What is worship?, pastor Luke preached from John 4 and shared thoughts toward developing a posture of worship that is rooted in an understanding of who God is and what He has done for us. Along the way, we learn about why Jesus' interaction with the Samaritan woman was so controversial and why we should all be like that Samaritan woman!
