What if... I shared my faith more?

What if you and I shared our faith in Jesus more? What if we overcame our fears and assumptions about people's expectations in order to share the love of God in practical ways? In this sermon, pastor Luke commented on the implications of the Great Commission and how we need to overcome the obstacles we face with resources in order to make disciples who make disciples who make... you get the deal. 

The Charismatic vs. Contemplative

In Ryker Autajay's first sermon at the Red Bluff Vineyard, he shared how he wrestled with the tension found between being "charismatic" and "contemplative," coming to understand that the paradox is that both are spaces for the Holy Spirit! Building on Paul's teaching in 1 Thessalonians 5, Ryker gave us four practical ways to keep this tension! 

The Inward Outward Life

A tension that exists in many churches is between being inward focused and outward focused. It seems rather challenging to be both/and when it comes to leaning into the mission of God and taking care of ourselves and each other. Often times we do one over the other. In this sermon, pastor Luke discusses the importance of being both inward focused and taking soul care seriously while caring for other followers of Jesus and being concerned with outreach and sharing Jesus with the world around us. 

The Passive & Active Salvation of the Kingdom

What exactly is our part in salvation? Do we contribute in some specific way or is it all provided for us through Jesus? How are we supposed to respond to God's work? In this sermon, pastor Luke explored the paradox that exists between God granting us salvation and our need to "work it out."
